Dearest Kilian,
Your tree is so beautiful ...... the luminaries too.  It has been three years and yet I remember it as if it were just yesterday.  You would think that this would get easier as time goes by, but it doesn't.  I actually gets harder.  There is so much I'd like to say, but how do you put those feeling into words?    When you left you took a piece of each of us with you.  Hold on to that as tight as you can little angel.  Keep it close to you and know that you are loved - always and forever.  We miss you so much.

Three years ago tonight I prayed to the heavens so strongly that God would let you stay here on earth with all of us.  Your Auntie Julie and I went to the beautiful mass at the Mayo hospital and I just felt stronger than ever that God would answer our prayers.  To this day, I still can't figure out the reasons why God needed you more.  Someday, I'm sure we will understand why---but until then, you are missed so dearly each and every day.
